The purpose of this blog is to explore the intrinsic components of social media. I have learned about the importance of being skilled in the media.
In the development and rise of Al all forms of media have become a dangerous forum if you’re not careful enough. In the hands of the wrong person Artificial intelligence is a dangerous weapon. Phones have become accessible to the average person making it easy for everyone to become reporters but it’s important to remember not everyone has ethics to report with honesty. Still we should also be analyzing trustworthy news companies. The powerful impact social media has on society is a reason why I find media literacy important. I am still learning and I’m excited to share my experience as I navigate my media literacy course. So let’s navigate media literacy together and discover what it means to live in a world full of media.

About Me
I am Abigail Vergara! I am currently a senior at ASU finishing my bachelors in Mass Communication and Media Studies with a minor in content creation. School has never been my strength but somehow I managed to graduate a year early. Before switching majors I was majoring in Film and media production, while I enjoy writing scripts and watching films I realized it was not my thing. Coming into communication I was lost but quickly found everything I was learning so fascinating. After graduation I hope to work in marketing, PR, or become a photographer.
